    Visited here for breakfast on a Saturday morning, off-season.  These guys were the only place open on a 2 block span for breakfast.  It appears that none of the restaurants open early in the vicinity of the border beach.

    First impressions were the cleanliness and awesome view of the beach.  Rocco's doesn't seem to cater to the English speaking folks, which was cool with us.  But be prepared, the menu is in Spanish and prices in Pesos.  The wait staff spoke little to no English.

    What we ordered.. shrimp omelet plate served with beans and potatoes.  And a short  stack of pancakes with a side of bacon.  All were delicious! Very good coffee too!

    I'm not sure if we'll ever visit Playa de Tijuana again.  Once you see the border fence (which was pretty cool), not sure about making another side trip here.

    Tip: No taxi line around here, so you'll have to do your best in flagging one down.  Fare from here to the border was $10.

    By far the best tostadas in Playas, if not all of Baja! Sit outside and enjoy the cheaper prices and faster service. Make sure to try fish (pescado), shrimp (camaron), octopus (pulpo) and a gobernador taco (shrimp and cheese).

    I didn't get to try the food because I walked out. The service is VERY unorganized. Nobody came to my table for a long time and when they did it turned out the kitchen wouldn't be ready for another hour. I really wanted to give this place a chance because I hear it's one of the better places in the malecon. Unfortunately, the service could be a lot better.

    I finally went back to try the food and it is good. The service is unorganized, though. Either it is too attentive or not attentive at all. I might go back, but it won't be my first pick.
